Curriculum for Wind Energy

Wind Turbine Maintenance Curriculum Translation Program

Power generation utilities and firms are facing a shortage of skilled and experienced workers and must recruit workers with little or no experience in the electricity sector. There is therefore a critical need for comprehensive training programs to help new employees excel in the industry.

To help address this need, the Electricity Sector Council has partnered with Natural Resources Canada to produce and promote an English translation of the Wind Turbine Maintenance Curriculum developed by CEGEP De la Gaspesie et des Iles. The English curriculum will be shared with community colleges and training providers across Canada to support the development and ongoing success of wind-turbine maintenance programs.
