Electricity Sector Council Reports
Powering Up the Future is the 2008 workforce planning study of the Canadian electricity industry undertaken by the Electricity Sector Council with the support of Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC). The study is designed to assist decision-makers in industry, government and the field of education plan effective human resource strategies.
Keeping the Future Bright is the preeminent study of human resource issues in the Canadian electricity sector. Co-commissioned by the Canadian Electricity Association and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, the report profiles the sector's current labour force and articulates the impact Canada's skilled-labour will have on the country's electricity market. Catherine Cottingham, former CEO and Executive Director of the Electricity Sector Council, headed the report's research team.
